Enclosed Front Porch
We're very happy to have found Blair! We needed someone to completely rebuild and enclose our front porch, and Blair has done just that, exceeding all of our expectations. We definitely echo the sentiments of past reviewers about how Blair is an expert craftsman that does beautiful work, is extremely punctual, trustworthy, reliable, amiable and easy to collaborate with! He took our architect's drawings along with our input and his own expert input and made our front porch addition come to life! His crew and occasional subcontractors, like electricians, were also terrific. From structural work and framing, doors and windows, drywall, siding, electrical, tile, custom-built stairs and railings, and finish carpentry, Blair handled it all giving us a new addition to our house that is as beautiful as it is functional while passing all mandated city inspections with zero issues.
Zero headaches, zero surprises, excellent workmanship and lots of compliments on my new enclosed porch. Exactly what you want when undergoing an addition project. I would hire Blair again in a heartbeat for future projects.

Indoor & Outdoor Carpentry
We hired Blair on a friend's recommendation with a few projects in mind and he not only helped us to refine our vision into something practical and affordable but he also did a beautiful job executing the work - so much so that we brought him back to do more. He was great at listening to what we wanted and offering helpful suggestions. The projects included tearing down an old built-in wardrobe and replacing it with a custom built desk to create a study nook in our upstairs hallway; using an economical mix of IKEA and custom carpentry to create a built-in wardrobe in our bedroom; replacing backyard fences; building a deck and outdoor stairs; and designing and building a unique shed to house several canoes, kayaks, paddleboards along with gardening tools. Blair is great to work with. He has a positive and relaxed attitude and a great work ethic. We would highly recommend him and hire him again.

Deck & Fence
Blair has completed several interior projects for us and this was the first exterior one; a fence and multi-leveled deck. Our backyard is sloped so we wanted a design that would provide more usable living space than our previous patio. Blair considered and included our requests and created a deck that maximized the space well, using three levels. He also rebuilt the fence on one side using a horizontal pattern, with heights to match the deck levels. This project, as with all previous ones was completed well within his proposed timeline(even considering this rainy summer weather!), on budget and always with respectful, neat and professional care to neighbour's yards. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blair's work and look forward to working with him again!

Built-in Bench and Bookshelf
Blair designed and built a window seat with hidden storage as well as inset book shelves on either side of our fireplace in our living room. He was able to match the style and finish of our 90+ year old character home so successfully that visitors to our home think they are part of the original house. He was pleasant, stuck to his schedule and has great workmanship. Additionally he stained all of the wood offsite in his workshop and it aired out so that my young kids would not be exposed to the smell of the stain. This was Blair's own idea and I was very appreciative that he would think of this.

Built-in Cabinet and Closet Reno
We have had the pleasure of working with Blair on two projects in our home. Blair created a wonderful design for a built-in cabinet in our basement family room that provided generous bookshelves, cupboards for kids toys and games and an entertainment space for our TV. He was able to join his cabinetry seamlessly with an existing unit in the corner of the room, and it looks like it has always been there! The custom cabinets are beautiful with such great attention to detail and craftsmanship. Blair also renovated the closet in one of our bedrooms, extending it from floor to ceiling with custom doors. He allowed for ample storage above with shelves that can be accessed easily to maximize the use of space. Blair's work is impeccable, of outstanding quality and on both occasions he completed the work on time, on budget and always left the workspace clean. I would highly recommend Blair without hesitation!
